Southern Copper announces 3 for 1 stock split

Phoenix-based Southern Copper Corp. announced a three-for-one common-stock effective July 10, pushing the company’s share price up $3.61, or 3.43 cent, Friday to $108.80.

The company mines copper, molybdenum, zinc, silver, lead, and gold in Mexico and Peru. Mexican conglomerate Grupo Mexico owns 75.1% of Southern Copper.
