The
politico.com site reports that Rep. Raul Grijalva [right] picked up two important endorsements for his possible nomination as Secretary of Interior in the Obama cabinet.
Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee Rep. Nick J. Rahall (D-W.Va.) said that Grijalva “has consistently displayed leadership in advancing legislation to improve our natural environment and to restore balance in the management of the nation’s natural resources.”
“In brief,” Rahall said, “I can describe Raul’s philosophy on interior issues with two words: good stewardship.”
The Outdoor Industry Association which is the main trade organization for outdoor recreation companies, endorsed the congressman, but they have also endorsed Democratic Reps. Jay Inslee of Washington and John T. Salazar of Colorado.
