In a strategic planning session with USGS leadership this morning we heard about a new viewer coming in December for the National Map that will dramatically revamp the look of the web site, with a friendlier Google-like interface. They also expect to release 18,000 new maps with contours and hydrography in Fiscal Year 2010 (starting Oct 1). [right, beta digital map o
