Is mining law reform stalled in Congress?


Congress-watchers are saying that mining law reform bills are unlikely to move. Linda Rowan, Government Affairs Director for AGI, briefed the State Geologists at the GSA Annual Meeting in Portland this morning on key legislation. She keeps her finger on the pulse of dozens of bills and said the sentiment is that mining reform and offshore drilling are going to be sidetracked. [right, Morenci Mine, AZ.
