UA's Overpeck will contribute to new IPCC climate report
http://uanews.org/node/32587
UA geoscience and atmospheric sciences professor Jonathan Overpeck will be a lead author of an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change chapter on terrestrial and inland water systems according to a release from UA.
"Peck" also co-directs the Institute of the Environment, said, "The new IPCC assessment, and especially our chapter, will be of particular importance to Arizona and the Southwest because our home state and region is already seeing climate change impacts that are serious."
Peck was one of the coordinating lead authors of the 2007 IPCC Fourth Assessment Report that received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
Peck and I shared an office in grad school at Brown University. [a little name dropping here]
