A bill to allow the land exchange needed for the Resolution Copper mine to move forward
never got voted on by the time the U.S. Senate adjourned. It had been added to the omnibus Senate public lands package of 100+ bills that needed unanimous consent for approval. But a number of Senators objected to the size of the package and it died. [

In fact, the Resolution land exchange was removed from the omnibus bill, which led Sen. McCain to oppose it, according to the
New York Times. [
