Details on the tentative deal between the City of Flagstaff and the Navajo Nation are reported in today's
Arizona (Flagstaff) Daily Sun newspaper.
The paper reports that the plan is for Flagstaff to pump up to 7 million gallons of water a day out of the C-Aquifer beneath the city-owned Red Gap Ranch, about 35 miles east of the city [

The agreement will limit the amounts and rates of pumping close to the Navajo Nation boundary and drops other legal claims. There is still the question of getting the water from the ranch to Flagstaff. A pipeline is estimated to cost $200 million.
