A story in the Mohave Daily Newssays "At their July board meeting, the [Mohave County] supervisors voted to submit a letter to National Association of Counties to support uranium mining on federal Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service lands in Northern Arizona including the Arizona Strip area." Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson announced he will attend the meeting to support lifting the withdrawal imposed by the Secretary of Interior.
