Small quake just south of St. George, in NW Arizona
A magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck northwest Arizona, 16 km south of St. George, Utah around 1:30 am local time on Wednesday morning. The Hurricane and Washington normal faults cross that area. [Right, star marks epicenter. Red lines are active faults. Credit USGS]
