Mohave County solar update

There are proposals to develop 6 commercial solar power projects in Mohave County, ranging from 1 to 1,200 megawatts each, and totaling over 1830 MW. But none has broken ground and only one has approval from the Arizona Corporation Commission.

The Kingman Daily Miner looks at the status of each project. [right, overlay of proposed Hualapai Valley Solar project, the first one approved by Mohave County]

Mohave County is perfectly located to benefit from all the clean green energy projects scheduled for this growing area. The first to receive the bundle of necessary approvals is "Hualapai Valley Solar" slated to begin construction the 3rd quarter of this year 2011.

This is fantastic news for not only the working class in and around Kingman Arizona, but the entire world. Reducing air polluting carbon emissions produced by fossil fuels such as coal & oil is the first step toward healing our one and only planet.

Thank you Hualapai Valley Solar & all other green energy companies going through the approval process, the job creation aspect alone will bring thousands of smiles to thousands of faces.
