Aristarchus panorama from ASU lunar camera
Wired magazine is showcasing amazing images of the Moon's Aristarchus crater, taken by ASU's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter camera. The panorama at right [credit, NASA/GSFC/Arizona State University] covers an area 15 miles across and 2 miles deep. Zooming in on the original gets you down to 15 inch resolution.
