Potash luncheon in Phoenix is sold out

Interest in the development of Arizona's potash resources is running high.  We hear the AMIGOS Face-to-Face Luncheon with American West Potash is completely sold out.

AWP president Pat Avery is scheduled to speak today at the Phoenix Country Club.  AWP has proposed developing an underground mine capable of producing 2 - 2.5 million tons of potash per year.   They have an agreement to sell  500,000 tons per year for a decade to a Chinese company.   The cost of a new mine has been estimated at about $1.4 billion, and at current prices, the mine output would generate around $1 billion annually.

Not surprising this is capturing the interest of Arizona's mining and business community.
