Uranium exploration battle fires up in Arizona Strip
The Center for Biological Diversity issue a press release late this afternoon, under the headline, "Bureau of Land Management Defies Congressional Uranium Ban, Approves New Exploration North of Grand Canyon."
The release states, "Documents obtained today by conservation groups reveal that on April 27th the Bureau of Land Management authorized Quaterra Alaska Inc. to conduct uranium mine exploration operations across five separate projects on public lands north of Grand Canyon National Park."
