The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ)is hosting a public hearing on the air permit for the proposed Rosemont copper mine, on Tuesday, October 9th at 6:00 pm. [Right, proposed mine site. Credit, Rosemont Copper].
Opponents and proponents of the mine are rallying their supporters to attend and submit comments.
SSSR (Save the Scenic Santa Ritas) says they rented a room at the school to answer questions and distribute their literature. They posted a list of talking points for opponents to use.
The Southern Arizona Business Coalition is emailing the area business community to speak out in support of the project as a source of jobs and economic development.
