Permit approved for Phase 1 of Florence copper project


Curis Resources Ltd. announced that the Arizona’s Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued an Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) for the proposed Florence copper project.  This permit applies to the design, operation and closure of Phase 1 operations at Florence Copper which will operate on State Trust Land.

The company's announcement said that "On September 28, Curis Resources (Arizona) Inc., received an Aquifer Protection Permit for the Phase 1 development of the Florence Copper project.  This permit authorizes the construction, operation and closure of a 24 well in-situ copper recovery (ISCR) operation at the company’s project site in Florence, Arizona.  The ISCR injection and recovery well system will be accompanied by a state of the art solvent extraction/electrowinning (SX/EW) facility that is designed to produce 99.999% pure copper cathode sheets."  [Right, existing injection wells at Curis test plot.   Credit, Curis Resources]
