Salvaging the Wintersburg seismic station

AZGS and NAU staff dug out the sensor vault for the Wintersburg seismic station yesterday in preparation for relocating it to a safer location. The site was stripped last week of its communication and power systems. Jeri Young and Mike Conway from AZGS were joined by Lisa Linville of the NAU's Arizona Earthquake Information Center along with a student volunteer. The team dug for about 4 hours in 100 degree heat.
