Magnitude 7.9 earthquake in southern Mexico
The USGS reports a
magnitude 7.9 earthquake
occurred just after noon local time in southern Mexico, between Acapulco and Oaxaca.
update 12:29PM, 3-20-12: the USGS has revised the magnitude to M7.4.
