A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck the north rim of the Grand Canyon at 8:44 pm local time last night, about 23 miles north of Grand Canyon Village. It's an area of very little historical seismicity. There are no reports of it being felt. [right, epicentral location and historical seismicity - 1990-present. Credit, USGS]
