UA considers School of Earth Sciences, College of Science & Technology

One of the reorganization proposals circulating in the University of Arizona is to merge the College of Engineering with the College of Science to create a College of Science and Technology.

Within that structure, a School of Earth Sciences could include geosciences, hydrology, and even chemical engineering.

Science Dean Joaquin Ruiz is intrigued with the possibilities of creating innovative undergraduate and graduate programs that are more interdisciplinary. He’s asking faculty and others for their views on the idea.
