Minor quake east of Fredonia
There was a minor earthquake (M=2.4) about 14 miles east of Fredonia, just south of the Utah border last Monday, that I just spotted this afternoon. [right, see the gold star in the center of the map]. It occurred just before 1 pm local time.
The area is on the margin of the Basin & Range - Colorado Plateau transition zone, with low to moderate historical seismicity.
I doubt many folks even felt it, given its size and location.
