A magnitude 3.3 earthquake [gold star in center of map. Seismicity 1990 to present. Credit USGS] occurred about 20 miles east of Fredonia, at about 8:14 pm local time tonight. The area has a history of scattered low level seismicity but this is one of the larger events in the region.
As I write this, an hour after event, there are 2 reports of it being felt, by residents to the east.
