More than 50 million+ people followed UA Phoenix Mars Lander
The UA's education and public outreach (EPO) program for the Phoenix Mars Lander is being hailed as the most successful such effort in the history of Mars missions.
By conservative estimates, UA says the Phoenix EPO reached between 50 million and 60 million people in just the past year alone.
EPO director Carla Bitter [right] wrote one of the many blogs about the mission. Her blog, "Interstellar Storyteller," offers insights into communicating real science in real time here on Earth about the daily happenings on Mars.
