Geoscience role in the economic recovery
The Association of American State Geologists (AASG) just released the Geoscience Recovery and Reinvestment Program (GRRP), a guidance document for the new Administration and Congress about the roles the geosciences, and State Geological Surveys in particular, can play in supporting and enhancing the national economic recovery and reinvestment program.
We posted a copy of the report at the AZGS Web site and it will be up on the AASG site shortly.
State geologists are now contacting their members of Congress to get this report in their hands and explain how mapping, assessments, and solid scientific data and analyses are crucial to efficiently and effectively carrying out the massive infrastructure, energy, water, and science programs that are being proposed.
