Phoenix in winter
The UA HiRISE camera on the Mars Observer photographed the Phoenix Mars Lander as it parachuted to the surface last May. Well, it continues to photograph the landing site and the latest view is from Dec. 21, 2008. As winter approaches the northern region, conditions are hazy and dark, but you can still see the lander and other parts.
Go the HiRISE site for a larger, more detailed photo.
