Our friends at ScienceDebate2008 and AAAS sifted through the federal stimulus bill to find all the science parts. I had only gotten through the first 200 pages, a few minutes at a time, so I am grateful to them. There are still lots of details tucked away in the bill, but these both offer a more comprehensive look than what the general news media are reporting.
The USGS will get $140 million for "Surveys, investigation, and research."
