Seriously geeky stuff

A reviewer of this blog concluded that " it’s not so boring that we want to gouge our eyes out with a sharp gemstone."

Wow! High praise, indeed. So, thanks for the reassurance that I am not causing a wave of blindness across the geoblogosphere.

Desert Living Today's full review, entitled "This Blog Rocks" is short:

We’re sure you’re already a loyal reader, but we we’re (sic) surprised to lean (sic) that 1) Arizona has an official State Geologist 2) he has a blog and 3) it’s not so boring that we want to gouge our eyes out with a sharp gemstone. Now don’t get us wrong, this is seriously geeky stuff. But we also learned cool facts such as AZ produced $6.7 billion in minerals last year, and the state spends more on prisons than our local universities.

Then there’s this shocking headline: More potash core holes permitted in Holbrook basin. So, um, yeah. We warned you this blog was geeky, right?
