Dominique Villela is one of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Daily Star's "40 Under 40" rising stars for 2012. Dominic worked at AZGS from 2005-2010 in our Geoinformatics program and later as webmaster.
He is currently working on a graduate degree at the UA's Research Institute for Solar Energy. His LinkedIn profile describes his focus on "energy storage, with research tailored to
engineering energy-storage technologies for the Arizona Research
Institute for Solar Energy (AZRISE). With funding from the Department of
Energy (DOE) and Science Foundation Arizona (SFAZ), Dominique targets
both mechanical and electronic prototype development for compressed-air
energy-storage systems and photovoltaic devices." He is also CEO of Injected Media.
The honorees for the 2012 40 under 40 will be presented at the Awards breakfast on December 13 at the Doubletree Hotel at Reid Park in Tucson.
